On Thursday at 4:00 p.m., the City of Paris will open the Eiffel Tower Fan Zone (7th arrondissement) to the public. Central location of the festivities organised on the occasion of UEFA EURO 2016, the Fan Zone will host many activities and will broadcast all the matches of the tournament.
On Thursday 4:00 p.m., eve of UEFA EURO 2016’s kick off, the City of Paris will open the Eiffel Tower Fan Zone to the public, as it is the central point of the festivities organised for the competition and located on the exceptional site of the Champ-de-Mars (7th arrondissement). Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo and her team will meet the supporters starting from 7:00 p.m.
The Eiffel Tower Fan Zone can accommodate up to 92.000 supporters – free of charge and in free access – and will enable Parisians as well as all visitors of all ages to live a unique football experience.
A giant screen of unprecedented dimensions (420 m2) will broadcast the 51 matches of the competition. A series of pavilions, recreation and catering areas will offer supporters many possibilities to enjoy themselves and have a nice time with family and friends around the values of sport.
Please note: The inaugural concert, starting at 8:45 p.m. is exclusively filmed by the French TV channel TF1. Other visual media – photographers and TV channels – are required to leave the Eiffel Tower Fan Zone before 8:15 p.m.
Accreditations: Accreditations are required for the media to access the Eiffel Tower Fan Zone. If you already applied for an accreditation, you will be given a badge at your arrival on site. In case of last-minute application, the press office of the City of Paris will give you a temporary badge – within the limit of available stock – upon presentation of a 2016 Press card and ID card.
