Anne Hidalgo, Mayor of Paris, decided to award the medal of the City of Paris to Irish and Northern Irish fans who came to support their teams during UEFA EURO 2016. This decoration rewards the exemplary sportsmanship of the supporters who contributed to turn this competition into a great festival. The award will be presented on Thursday July 7th in the Eiffel Tower Fan Zone.
Amongst the 3 million spectators who came to Paris for UEFA EURO 2016, the Irish and Northern Irish fans distinguished themselves by their exemplary attitude.

It is to celebrate their fair play, their enthusiasm and their happiness that Anne Hidalgo, Mayor of Paris, decided to award them the Grand Vermeil medal of the City of Paris.
The award will be presented on Thursday July 7th at 07:45 p.m. at the Pavillon Paris of the Eiffel Tower Fan Zone, meeting place of supporters in Paris for UEFA EURO 2016.
